How to use Andorius

Everything the site can do, step by step. Pick a topic, or search. Tap a question to open it.

Getting started

Andorius is a library of calm soundscapes you stream in your browser, plus moonMind, a mixer for building your own sessions from soundscapes and tones. It works on computers, tablets and phones — no app to install.

What can I do without an account?
  • Browse every page and read about every soundscape.
  • Play the 3 free soundscapes (no signup) for 20 minutes a day. The rest unlock with the 7-day free trial.
  • Try moonMind: 60 seconds at a time, 5 times a day.

Other soundscapes show “Sign in to preview this track”. A free account adds favourites, comments, listening history and settings that follow you to every device.

Finding your way around

At the top of every page:

  • Home — the start page, with a few free soundscapes to try.
  • Soundscapes — the whole library.
  • Pricing — plans, prices and the moonMind add-on.
  • Blog — articles about sound, focus and calm.
  • WebApps — opens a window with moonMind and what your plan unlocks.
  • The round button (your photo or initials) — sign in, or open your account menu.
  • Dark / Light — switches the colour theme. Your choice is remembered.

At the bottom: Privacy, Terms, Help, this Guide, the Blog and a WebApps menu.

Tip: on a phone the menu is a row under the logo — swipe it sideways to see everything.
Which plan is right for me? (“Help me choose”)

On the Home and Pricing pages, Help me choose asks two quick questions and suggests a plan and whether moonMind suits you. It only suggests — nothing is bought until you go through checkout.

Your account

Sign up with your email, your Google account, or your Apple account. Accounts are free.

Create an account
  1. Tap the round button at the top right.
  2. Choose Sign up.
  3. Either press Continue with Google (or Apple), or type your name, email and a password of at least 8 characters, then Create Account.
  4. With email sign-up we send you a link to confirm your address. It works for 24 hours.

A short welcome window shows the first steps. You can close it any time.

Sign in, “Remember me” and signing out
  • Sign in: round button → Sign in → Google, Apple, or email and password.
  • Remember me for 30 days: tick it on your own device. Without it you are signed out after an hour without activity. Google and Apple sign-ins are remembered automatically.
  • For safety, everyone signs in again at least every 90 days.
  • Sign out: round button → Sign out, or the Sign Out button on the Account page.
I forgot my password
  1. Open the sign-in window and tap Forgot password?
  2. Enter your email and press Send Reset Link.
  3. Open the email and follow the link. It works once, for one hour.
  4. Choose a new password. Every device is signed out; sign in with the new one.
No email? Check your spam folder. If you signed up with Google or Apple you have no Andorius password — just use that button again.
Signing in with two-factor (2FA)

If you turned on 2FA (see Security), after your password the window asks for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. You have 5 minutes.

Lost your phone? Tap Use a recovery code instead and type one of the codes you saved. Each works once.

Listening

Every soundscape has a small player. Whatever you start keeps playing while you move around the site, and only one sound plays at a time.

Play a soundscape

Each card in Soundscapes has a player strip under the picture:

▶ / ❚❚Play or pause.
0:00 / 0:00Time played and total length.
The lineTap anywhere on it to jump to that point.
🔈Mute or unmute (fades gently).
≡+Add the track to your queue.

Tap the picture or the title to open the soundscape's own page with a bigger player, its description, likes, comments and related soundscapes.

Tip: starting a new sound fades the old one out and the new one in — no need to pause first.
The player bar at the bottom

As soon as something plays, a bar appears at the bottom of every page:

Picture & titleWhat's playing now. If moonMind is playing, tap it to go back to moonMind.
⏮︎ ⏭︎Previous / next track in your queue.
▶ / ❚❚Play or pause (stops moonMind if it's playing).
≡Show or hide your queue.
✕Stop and clear the queue.

The sound keeps going when you open another page, so you can read the blog or change settings while listening.

Build a queue
  1. Press ≡+ on each card you want, in the order you want them.
  2. Press ▶ on the player bar (or ⏭︎) to start the queue. Tracks play one after another.
  3. Open the list with ≡: tap a title to jump to it, or ✕ next to it to remove it.

If you play a single card while a queue is waiting, the bar says so — press ⏭︎ to go back to the queue.

Pick up where you left off

When signed in, the site remembers your last track. On the Soundscapes page the bar may show “Play again?” with that track, even if you last listened on another device. Your Account page also has a Resume button.

Why is a track locked?
  • “Sign in to preview this track” — you're not signed in, and only free soundscapes play without an account.
  • Free plan — free soundscapes only. Pro or Creator unlocks all of them.
  • “Daily playback limit reached” — you've used today's minutes (see Daily listening time).

Finding sounds

The Soundscapes page has a filter panel on the left. Open or close it with the tab on the left edge of the screen.

Search, filter and sort
SearchMatches titles and creators as you type.
CategoryShow one category only.
CreatorShow one creator only.
Favorites onlyOnly soundscapes you've liked (signed in).
TagsTap one or more. A soundscape must have all the tags you picked.
SortBy name, or newest first.

Everything you've picked appears under Active Filters; Clear all resets them. Tapping outside the panel (or pressing Esc) closes it.

Quicker: tap a tag on any card (like calm) to show only soundscapes with that tag. A “Showing:” line above the cards lists what's active — tap ✕ to remove one, or Clear all. From the home page or a soundscape's page, a tag opens Soundscapes already filtered.

Daily listening time

Each plan has a daily amount of listening. It starts fresh every day at midnight (UTC).

Without accountFreeProCreator
Listening per day20 minutes a day20 minutes a day2 hours a dayUnlimited
SoundscapesFree onesFree onesAllAll
How is the time counted?
  • Only seconds when sound is actually playing count. Paused time doesn't.
  • Free soundscapes count too.
  • moonMind's tones and textures don't count; soundscapes you load into moonMind do.
  • When you're signed in, the count is kept on our server, so it's the same on all your devices.

See today's minutes and the last 7 days on your Account page.

What happens when I reach the limit?

The sound pauses and a message says “Daily playback limit reached” with a View Plans button. You can listen again tomorrow, or upgrade for more time.

Favourites & comments

Save favourites

Tap the ♥ on a card, or the heart on a soundscape's page (both do the same). Tap again to remove it. You need to be signed in.

Your favourites appear on your Account page and in the Favorites only filter.

Comment on a soundscape
  1. Open the soundscape's page (tap its picture or title).
  2. Type in Add a comment… (up to 500 characters).
  3. Press Post or Enter.
Comments are public and show your display name (change it on your Account page).

moonMind

moonMind is a mixer for building your own sessions: two soundscapes from the library, two pure tones and three textures (white, pink and brown), each with its own volume. Save your mixes and glide between them.

Who can use it, and the free trial
  • moonMind is an add-on: €4 a month or €38 a year, on any plan (Free, Pro or Creator).
  • Without it you get a trial: 60 seconds of sound at a time, 5 times a day. When a trial ends, the sound fades and a window offers to unlock moonMind.
  • Unlock it from that window, the Pricing page, or WebApps → Add to plan on your Account page.
The channels

Each channel is a column with a volume slider, a ▶ button and a name:

White, Pink, Brown NoiseSteady noise, from bright (white) to deep and soft (brown).
Sine Wave (×2)A pure tone. Tap SINE WAVE to set its pitch: drag the slider or type a number in Hz (0–1000).
Library (×2)A soundscape from the library, looping. See below how to choose one.

Press ▶ on a channel to start or stop it; drag its slider to set its volume. Channels fade in and out smoothly.

Put a soundscape into moonMind
  1. In moonMind, tap the word Library on one of the two library channels. The Soundscapes page opens.
  2. On the soundscape you want, press Use in WebApps → moonMind.
  3. You're back in moonMind with that soundscape loaded in the channel you chose. Press its ▶.

You can also start from any card: Use in WebApps → moonMind loads it into the first library channel.

The same rules as the rest of the site apply: free soundscapes for everyone; the others need Pro or Creator. They also count toward your daily listening time.
Save and load presets (your mixes)

The column of numbered buttons 1–5 holds your presets.

  • Save: set up a mix, then tap an empty number. Give it a name (up to 20 letters) and press OK.
  • Load: tap a saved preset. The mix changes over about a second.
  • Overwrite: tap the preset you loaded last a second time, then OK — it saves what you hear now.
  • Rename / save over any slot: press and hold a number for half a second (or Ctrl/Alt/⌘-click).

When signed in, presets are saved to your account and appear on all your devices. If you changed them on two devices at once, moonMind asks you to reload so nothing is lost.

Glide between presets (morph) and loop
  1. Save at least two presets.
  2. Tap the small dots between the numbers to set how many seconds each change takes (1–3600, default 20). The first dot is the fade-in, the last one the fade-out.
  3. Press the big ▶ at the top: moonMind plays preset 1, glides to 2, then 3, and so on.
  4. The ∞ loop button next to it decides whether it starts again from the first preset at the end.

Press the big ▶ again to stop; the sound fades out over the last dot's time.

Export, erase and the calm view
  • ☰ menu → Export downloads a file with all your presets, times and current mix — a backup you can keep.
  • ☰ menu → Erase All stops everything and clears all presets and settings (it asks first).
  • The small dot at the top switches to the calm view: a breathing orb, no menus. Tap the orb to start your last mix, tap again to let it fade. Tap the dot to return to the mixer.

moonMind keeps playing when you open other pages. The player bar shows it; tap it to come back, or ❚❚ to stop it.

  • Full history → opens the Activity page (below).
The Activity page

Three tables: your account events (sign-ins, plan changes), every track you've played with sessions and total time, and minutes listened per day for the last 60 days. Refresh reloads them; Download JSON saves a copy.

WebApps

Shows moonMind as Owned ✓, or its price with Add to plan →, which opens checkout with moonMind ticked.

Security: password and two-factor (2FA)

Change password (email accounts): type your current password, then the new one twice (at least 8 characters). For safety you're then signed out everywhere, this device too — sign in with the new password.

Turn on 2FA — an extra code at sign-in, from an app like Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy:

  1. Press Set Up 2FA.
  2. Scan the QR code with your app (on a phone, tap the link to add it directly), or type the key shown.
  3. Save the recovery codes somewhere safe. They're shown only once.
  4. Type the 6-digit code from the app and press Verify & Enable.

Turn it off: enter a current code (or a recovery code) and press Disable 2FA. The page shows how many recovery codes you have left.

Signed in with Google or Apple? Then they check your password, so turn on 2-step verification there — the page links you to it.

Troubleshooting & contact

No sound
  1. Check your device volume and that the tab isn't muted.
  2. Press ▶ yourself — browsers don't allow sound to start on its own.
  3. Is the track locked, or is today's time used up? See Why is a track locked?
  4. Reload the page. Still silent? Try Chrome, Safari or Firefox, up to date.
I paid but my plan didn't change

It normally updates within seconds of coming back from Stripe. Reload your Account page. If it still shows the old plan after a few minutes, write to us with the email you pay with — we'll sort it out.
